SaveSuperman.com on USA Today and UGO blogs!!

USA Today's blog "Pop Candy" by Whitney Matheson has a quick mention of SaveSuperman.com this afternoon.
Click Here to check it out.
She also brings up a recent interview with Brandon Routh where he says he hopes MOS will start shooting next year. We all know how many times he's "hoped" it would begin filming in the last year and half....lol
It's also on Yahoo Buzz so Click Here to vote for it and get the word out even more!!
And pointed out later, we were found on UGO's Movie Blog!!

Wow, I wonder when Blue
Wow, I wonder when Blue Tights will be mentioned in, say, Variety or some such. Surely it's just a matter of time, right?
Uh, right?
It's good that the site is getting some exposure like this.
I've apparently started a
I've apparently started a war on BlueTights. I opened an account there and on DC Comics boards and posted all about the site and the Variety blog plus the others that came out today. People are going nuts since yesterday. It's great getting the publicity!!

Looking good. Hope this
Looking good. Hope this causes a stir. See there are a lot more guests today. We need to keep it up.

SaveSuperman.com also gets a mention at Ugo, even if it ends with a kiss up to Singer.

I know I shouldn't take
I know I shouldn't take pleasure in other peoples' mental anguish but it's funny checking out their breakdown about this.
"But, but, but that's SPAM!" And here I thought "spam" meant "unsolicited commercial messages sent for the express purposes of marketing for profit."
"Grassroots campaigns never work." Mind you, these mental midgits probably bought the Donner Cut on DVD.
"Singer is the greatest!" There's no account for taste, I guess.
"People are just less interested in Batman, Superman and any other possible DC character you could possibly mention because there's no novelty there." I guess they think all Marvel characters were invented in 1990 or something.
"[Even though Singerman was visually boring, had a terrible cast, the script was an absolute trainwreck and the film lost millions at the box office, Singerman] doesn't need saving." Whatever ya say, bucko.
I just love these responses. Maybe I'll post a reply or two myself.

Wow. It's nice to see this site is getting more attention on the blogs. I can't wait to find out what the next web site will be to mention SaveSuperman. Congratulations on the exposure, guys.

That's expected. In a way, these fanboy sites are like the Nazi Youth Group. No line but the Party line is acceptable.
Thanks for the support Comic
Thanks for the support Comic Critic. I'm all for firing the morons that had the bright idea of breaking up Peter and MJ. It's just as idiotic as making Superman a deadbeat dad.
I've come to realize from being on BlueTights and SHH that the people who are advocating for Singer to return are like those who join cults. You can talk logic with them all you want or point out absolute facts that go against their reasoning, but no matter what, they will die supporting their leader. It's amazing really. A perfect case study for anyone working on their degree in psychology or sociology. Oh well. All I know is we've got an increase of over 30% in total petition signings just from today and hit count is through the roof.

Oh, and by the way,..
"People are just less interested in Batman, Superman and any other possible DC character you could possibly mention because there's no novelty there." I guess they think all Marvel characters were invented in 1990 or something."
That's typical apologist pap that has no bearing, nor intelligent ground to stand on. It's a presumptuous and broad and sweeping statement from a single perspective whose motive is to offer up excuses and at the same time find grounds to make a nonsensical insult.
Colors, the guy who made the post is a Neanderthal.
Actually Colors was copying
Actually Colors was copying that from a poster who went against me on BlueTights earlier today. He isn't the one commenting. The Marvel characters being made in 1990 was him being sarcastic towards the original poster.

You mean like the Younis site, where you're banned just for having a brain? LOL.
Steve, can you link us to
Steve,
can you link us to the Blue Tights thread and the Dc boards? I'd love to read the comments too.
Here's where I started
Here's where I started posting. They deleted everything when people started complaining and calling my post with the article links SPAM. The moderator claimed they were deleted because I had a direct link to SaveSuperman.com as a signature and that it violated policy. So I reposted the articles again with no link and it should still be there.

DC Comics only has 2 replies. Those boards are pretty dead, but here's the link anyway.

It was probably the mod who
It was probably the mod who usually only posts there to gush over Singer because he once had dinner with a group and Singer was there. His other posts are usually to give out warnings to people who don't like Singer which is pathetic. One time when that pic was released of Singer showing Routh how to pose (with the green screen behind them) with his legs close to together, feet pointed straight out and arms folded (of course Routh looked like he was in puppet mode) I said "he looked like a gay guy trying to looked rugged" and he gave me an infraction for "flaming other members" he then told me in a private message it was because Singer and the boy writers sometimes visit the site????? That's an Apologists with too much authority where it doesn't belong.
I'm actually the current champ voted for "least likely to become a Mod" by a land slide during the yearly awards =) Oh well, some good people over there still but the Singer sucking ruined the whole site for me.
Yes we all like Welling but at least we can all be up front and admit there are other people in this world that would just fine in that role.
They certainly aren't very
They certainly aren't very friendly over at bluetights. I don't see where we are spam. But... I guess being spam is still better than their being a joke. How do they justify calling our site and posts spam? Just wondering. Aren't we entitled to our opinions?
If they don't like it here they don't need to support us, or join us. Hope they live happily ever after on their own little site dreaming their sweet dreams of the return once again of Singerman.
I wonder which Apologist
I wonder which Apologist baby that was? hmmm....lol You know a true Apologist when they can only reach for the Welling card even though we say over and over we simply want a believable actor in that role.
There was an airhead a while
There was an airhead a while ago that attacked you Phil, and you weren't even here, I deleted his post
He got banned anyway. I
He got banned anyway. I don't tolerate unnecessary profanity. This is a family friendly website and I know a few of the members are under age 12. They can pull that stuff on BlueTights, SHH, SHP, IESB, or wherever else they feel like it, but if they come here and can't remain civil and provide a logical argument for their opinions they can leave. If you read any of the posts I left on BlueTights earlier today, not one of them was rude in any way. I posted what we are doing and that Variety, USA Today, and UGO Movie Blog did write ups about us. They went nuts because they seem to worship the ground Singer walks on. As I said, its like a cult / mob mentality. I was stunned.
- Steve
Well, my original post
Well, my original post addressed that very cult mentality among other things that pertained to Returns.
Yeah, the profanity and flaming started right away, and the added bonus of attacking a member who wasn't even here at the time.
Glad to hear this site is
Glad to hear this site is getting around to those major movie news sites and all that. Good luck with that steve/emi. Hopefully wb will see this and how many fans are against singer and his superman version and will do a incredible hulk move and reboot film series.
Thanks Jerry, It's just
Thanks Jerry, It's just someone hiding behind their computer as usual. I blame these pathetic AP's for the WB even considering a Singer sequel at all. We all know even the AP's the movie was that bad and no where near what a Superman movie could have been. These people love Singer so much and just treat it like a game at our fav. hero's expense. If we all just stood up from the beginning together as one big group of fans and stated the obvious we could be already getting that blow your hair back Superman movie that technology CAN give us.
Do I want Welling as Superman? Sure, I won't deny an obvious worthy candidate, no way. But as long as he screams Superman at first glance and every look after that bring it on whoever it is playing the part. There's a reason why Routh couldn't even hold a soap job, no way could he ever be believable as Superman, he proved it without even talking! And I'll fight that till I'm sitting there watching a believable Superman on the big screen while I drink my Mt. Dew in a cup bigger than my head with a bigass box of popcorn with a smile you would have to surgically remove!
Superman is SOOO in need of
Superman is SOOO in need of a reboot.
Why in the world Warner would want to follow up Returns with Singer is beyond me. Then again, maybe it's not.
They'd have to buy out Singer's contract, and start from scratch. If there's one thing Warner knows nothing about, it's how to handle the Superman franchise and how to approach it.
It's sad.
What's even sadder is the zombies who support Singer, and consider it blasphemy to shine the light of logic and common sense on the lousy film.
ridiculous.
Well, we all knew this day
Well, we all knew this day was coming. Once word got out, which it really got out today, the supporters of Singer were destined to invade our happy home. What I find most amusing is how when myself or someone else from here posts in another forum what we're doing, it becomes a major incident. Now I can't say everyone here has always stayed calm under fire, but the majority of these people who want another Singer film are downright nasty and abusive. And I'm willing to bet if we succeed and the reboot script I'm helping write actually happens, many of them will change their screen names and be jumping for joy. It'll be like John Kerry in a senate debate.
I wonder if any of them have even taken the time to bother reading what the first reboot treatment was about. It's still mostly in the script we're writing. Some things removed and some new things added but it's mostly still there.
Oh, Jerrytoons, I almost forgot....We're going to try and hold some sort of contest here and I'm attempting to get an autographed copy of Superman vs. Hollywood: How Fiendish Producers, Devious Directors, and Warring Writers Grounded an American Icon as a prize.
- Steve
Phil, well the thing is, I
Phil, well the thing is, I know where Steve is coming from. He makes posts regarding the effort to reboot Superman and gets attacked by a bunch of infants who probably still wet their beds, then come over here to flame.
I've experienced the exact same thing.
I remember posting in a forum where a guy was trying to convince me that Returns was a "thinking man's" Superman. I almost choked with laughter. If you consider Returns a "thinking man's" Superman, then you must have ridden the little bus to school every day..
Yeah, with the exception of
Yeah, with the exception of Nolan's Batman, Marvel will continue to pound WB into the ground. Hulk really WILL smash!
Ya know, while ago I watched the trailer for 'Hancock' in HD quality that I downloaded off of mtv.com. My stars, even THAT is better than Singerman! I know it's a Will Smith comedy with a made-up superhero, but it looks to be a riot! I couldn't hardly stop laughing! However, it looks like it has some decent FX, & Hancock stopping the train & throwing the whale are hilarious. Like I said, even THAT looks better than Singerman!
I guess you need to see if the 'short bus' is what picks WB up at the bus stop. ;)
Boy Steve you sure riled
Boy Steve you sure riled them up lol.
Got them coming over in droves to harass us, and cause problems. That part sucks, but perhaps we might convert some of the acolytes of Singerman. Even the totally brainwashed can be re-educated. Lmao.
I don't hold out much hope for the totally brain dead though. I loved the comment about the short bus. ROFLMAO
The wheels on the bus go
The wheels on the bus go round and round....round and round....round and round....
Sorry I have little nieces and nephews...

Hey, I posted 'short bus'
Hey, I posted 'short bus' before even reading your 'little bus' comment. Are we thinking alike or is it something else?
No, we're thinking alike.
No, we're thinking alike.
When you think it's OK for Superman to be a stalker, peeping tom, eavesdropper, father illegitimate children, then not man up and take responsibility...
When you think Lex is a genius to destroy valuable real estate, only to replace it with worthless jutting rock and stone...
When you think that swimsuit/ballet outfit passes for a Superman costume...
When you'll buy Singerman being stabbed with a Kryptonite shiv, losing his powers sufficiently enough to get his butt kicked all over the afore mentioned worthless rock by normal thugs and tossed in the ocean...
And again, you're willing to buy into the same Singerman that was incapacitated by a Green K shiv later being able to lift an entire island of Green K and toss it into space...
And even further, when you buy into the entire film being an over budgeted poor remake of Superman the movie, (even lifting the same lines), but with a god awful script..
If you buy into all of that and tout it as a great Superman movie, then you rode the "little" bus to school everyday with all your special little friends, and most likely wear a helmet everywhere you go.
Yes non_amos, we're thinking alike.
